Sporting Clays

Piney Valley Sporting Clays offers a unique shooting experience in the Vail Valley for all ages. Located on the Piney Valley Ranch outside Wolcott, Co, and a short drive from Vail, our  5-stand clays course and 12 station tournament sporting clays courses offer scenic and challenging shooting experiences for beginning and expert shooters alike. The facility has a long history in the valley and has been enjoyed by area shooters since the 1980s. The facility even hosted the 2002 Colorado Sporting Clays Association State Tournament.

Look for many course improvements this season including a Colorado Sporting Clays Association sanctioned tournament schedule, updated landscaping, improved concessions, and new amenities in the club house. Also new this season, a special trip called “cast and blast” for those who want to fish and shoot in the same day.  Please call us at the range with any questions, we are happy to asisst you. Equipment
Shoot with an array of top quality Browning, Benelli, and Beretta 12 and 20 gauge shotguns available for rent. We carry both auto-loading and over under shotguns.

Lessons
We offer competitive shooting instruction for National Sporting Clays levels 1,2, and 3 with our certified educational staff. Instructor Bob Perigo has over 20 years of experience working with competitive shooters. We look forward to helping you take your shooting skills to the next level this summer. Cast and Blast
Fish and shoot in the same day. A new trip sure to offer fun and excitement, we offer this trip in partnership with our sister shop Alpine River Outfitters. You can choose from a variety of local rivers to float or wade with our guides, including private water.  Afterwards, come up to the range to top the day off with food and shooting. Please call for details and pricing, pricing varies upon the price of the fishing trip."

Below are our 2010 shooting season rates. Our range features day rates, seasonal memberships, and new this season, punch cards. Punch cards provide a discounted rate for guests planning multiple visits to the facility.

$200 year Seasonal Membership. Membership to our range gives you discounted rates for the entirety of the season for frequent shooters.
