Why I guide:  I started Fly Fishing when I was 14 years old learning the trout streams of the Southeast along with several waters in Northern Michigan. I first started guiding in Montana when I was 18 years old and I have not looked back. I am currently in my 6th season with Alpine River Outfitters and continues to take out a majority of the Outfitter and Club wade trips. I have fished in several  states and have guided in Colorado, Montana, and Arkansas. I am currently pursuing Saltwater guiding in Key Largo, Fl during the off season. " I guide because my passion is Fly Fishing. Guiding gives me an opportunity to be on the water while at the same time sharing my passion with others!"

Favorite Trip: Full day Eagle River!

Why I guide: My dad and I took our first fly fishing trip with a guide when I was 11 years old, fishing grass hoppers in a meadow stream in Valle Vidal, NM.  Since then, I have spent time fishing and learning rivers and techniques primarily across New Mexico, Colorado and Pennsylvania.  I can credit my core fly fishing skills to my guide during that trip, who provided me with enough information for me to catch fish on my own.  I now love teaching both beginners and seasoned vets alike, enjoying the outdoors and catching some fish!

Drake Perry

Favorite Trip: Full Day Float: Eagle River
Favorite Rod: Scott S4 9ft 4 wt
Favorite Reel: Galvan T-5
Interests: Upland game hunting (ducks, pheasants, and grouse), Pointer dog training and shooting shot guns.
Why I guide: got my start fly fishing on the Little Miami river on the east side of Cincinnati Ohio, where I fished primarily for small mouth bass. I worked for the mountain for a season, told my parents I would only come up to this beautiful place for a season. As soon as the snow melted I knew I wanted to be a fishing guide, and now here I am. I continue to grow my knowledge of fly fishing and am enjoying the responsibilities of managing the Piney Valley Ranch sporting shooting sports complex. Alpine River and Piney Valley are great places to work because they let me share my enthusiasm of the great outdoors, not to mention my office has a better view then yours does!
